Flying in a wheelchair – Sue Austin

This post is about Sue Austin, a woman in a wheelchair living a fantastic life and experiencing an exceptional dream… diving in the deep ocean in a wheelchair!

I would like to reproduce the article and videos I found about this wonderful woman: again the focus on beautiful inside in its complete meaning on being aware of yourself and making your dreams come true.

Catalyzing Change published on Facebook on 30. January 2013:

Sue Austin has created the world’s first self-propelled wheelchair, equipped with clear fins that allow her to fly underwater.

Sue-Austin-first-self-propelled-wheelchairShe is working to redefine the popular notion of disability with an invention that challenges preconceptions about the wheelchair. Not just the way it is viewed but also the way that it’s used.

Sue says
I call my wheelchair ‘portal’, because it’s pushed me through into a new level of awareness. For me it’s about finding creative solutions to barriers. I’ve become a completely different person.

Sue Austin demonstrates me how to be the artist & transformer of my own life! Disability as a great chance and a “portal” to being aware ! I hope to be on the way, as since some weeks I struggled a lot with myself due to many disharmonic situations in my life.

I don’t know how many times I watched this video… I cried for joy!!

See her also in this interview on TED Talks of December 2013:

In her art, she aims to convey the spirit of wonder she feels wheeling through the world. Includes thrilling footage of an underwater wheelchair that lets her explore ocean beds, drifting through schools of fish, floating free in 360 degrees.”

Sue Austin, a woman with a heartfelt soul, open mind, full of inspiring resources. A creative woman! She is a real transformer and made her dreams come true. Let’s do the same for us and for our world 🙂

I wish you all a great start into the fresh week,

You Are

Danza-Libera-ZazuMove-Beautiful-InsideA wonderful girlfriend of mine sent me this imagine after our intensive conversation about the touching post of Simply Me Just Be :

Dance to the rhythm of your heart – a sweet experience

Dance to the rhythm of your heart – a sweet experience

“Our time here is limited. Regardless of age, circumstance or theories set by others ….don’t waste your time living someone else’s life. Be true to your own music…and dance to it.” Odette Worrell

Dance to the rhythm of your heart - a sweet experience - free dancing - La danza libera
When I start with my blog I thought to share my passion with other dancers… Funny idea as I did not connect up to any dancer up to now but to many wonderful persons with different intentions, spirits & mediums all over the world.

This has been a big surprise to me, ja, I did not expect such an exceptional scene behind the blogging world as I jumped in sponaniously creating my blog. What a luck, since my entry I have been inspired by so many outstanding posts – at least I let my blog slide to discover other ones, my greatest and longest travel ever made!

Dance to the rhythm of your heart - a sweet experience - free dancing - La danza liberaSo I learned a lot (and Im still doing so) and have been inspired with great effect by many bloggers and also by one of my favourite blog: Simply Me Just Be. Yesterday I have read a post “the skin I’m in” of her which impressed me a lot – a post with great heartfelt intensity! Thank you for sharing your inspirational thoughts, your heart & your soul!!!

And also a huge thank you to you, SimplyMeJustBe , for nominating me for the “Super Sweet Blogging Award” – such a pleasant surprise in the right moment. I have been off-line for the last weeks – hard last weeks due to many causes such as illness of my children and my mum, but also a lot of work and loose ends. I never thought that I would miss the blogging world so much and hope to find a new organisation to my re-entry.

super-sweet-blogging-awardAnd I have missed my personal “sweets” too – my dancing world. However… You can dance anywhere, even if only in your heart. Thats what I have done in the last weeks, overcoming all the difficulties and absences. Yep, dance to the rythm of my heart, fearless and powerful, wild and silent – “Dance is the hidden language of the soul” (Martha Graham) and my elixir of life.

Iam not really a good writer but hopefully I can express my passion and inspire someone to feel the same way . “I see dance being used as communication between body and soul, to express what is too deep to find for words.” (Ruth St. Denis)

Wishing you all a happy & healthy week full of sweets!

Today is winter solstice
The morning fog … disappeared
And it’s raining, gentle rain
The sun is hided behind the clouds
The Tuscan countryside seems to be fallen in a deep sleep
The silence lays over the vineyards, olive trees and fields
No more autumn colours – grey is dominating

Inspiring World – The Very Inspirer Award

This weekend I was asked what kind of present I wish for christmas. My answer – as every year – “only to have a nice time in peace & love with my family and my friends” … “no gifts please” – I added after some seconds.

Christmas Gift Suprise

Coming home and checking out the blogging world – I got an unexpected christmas gift, a great suprise: Grow your innerself nominates me for “The Very Inspirer Award” and it occured to me that ´this is such a nice way to give a present` … without asking!

Thanks a million – Grazie mille – Tausend Dank
I’am so thankful to you, dear Summer, I like to send you big hugs and a great cup of whipped cream!! I’m not sure if my blog is really inspiring such as your blog and other ones – I started 2 months ago and still feel to be a bit quiet, I mean I need some more time to come out with all of me. Nevertheless you make me very very happy!
Have a great week & sunny greetings, Katharina

So starting with the rules for “The Very Inspirer Blog” which are:

… to thank and link back to the blogger that has nominated you, then post the award logo to your blog, write a post on the nomination and nominate 15 other very inspiring bloggers. Notify them and then tell 7 things about yourself.

Oooo, the rules say that I have to nominate 15 bloggers… that’s really a hard “duty” as
a) I would like to nominate much more – means all (:
b) I’m not really good in taking decisions and
c) it sounds a bit like “… and the winner is” – … all are winners!!!
Okay, okay, when I leave my “brandnew-blogger” status, I will be able to nominate whoever, whenever and whatever… I feel better now 🙂

So I’m glad to nominate the inspirer of my blogging world:

1. Mr. Oh –
3. Simply Me Just Be –
5. Known is a drop, Unknown is an Ocean –
6. Lead.Learn.Life. –
7. Greenhorn Photos –
8. WISIWIS (What I See Is What I Shoot) –
9. liliessparrowsandgrass –
10. Corina Lazarescu –
11. waywardspirit –
12. Herrn Bilders Blog –
13. Cornwall – A Photographic Journey –
14. and life smiles-

I hope sincerely that you will enjoy your award and will have a great start to the week!

Last `duty´ ….here we go… 7 ´things` about me:

1. I love children, their way to feel & see the world – I spend a lot of time with my twins

2. I’m a night owl

3. Sometimes my life is like a rollercoaster ride – balance act between children, 2 types of work, house wife, hobbies and now … blogging 🙂

4. Since my childhood I love watching photographs because it allows me to dive into another world (… as well as reading)

5. Laughing is one of my favourite medicine – besides homoeopathy & TCM

6. I try to live optimistic & to have no prejudices

Reblogged from – a outstanding inspiration source with an awesome spirit – I would like to donate you, Ganesh, a rainbow

I copied my comment to Ganesh herein, as it describes my feelings when I’ve `inhaled´ this video:

” I’m excited, delighted and very grateful to you, Ganesh, for these information. In my dancing life I’ve probably already felt parts of these all of us inherent vibrations and their patterns, also because I feel “in one” with me and what surrounds me. Now, through you, I got an awesome sign post. I’ll be watching this video several times, to internalize the message. And I want to reblog this video. Thank you with all my heart , Katharina ”
